Anti-ageing products are big business and often our hopes are raised by a couple of catchy promises on the front of a box together with a wrinkle-free, ageless model, however the actual formula rarely lives up to expectations. It comes as no surprise then that Nanoblur, with the phrase 'immediate correction of the appearance of skin ageing', sent the anti-ageing sceptics into overdrive before the launch last year. Not to mention the idea of visibly reducing the appearance of crows feet within just 40 seconds!

The thick serum-like texture has no scent at all and feels sticky on application. It takes a while to dry but the tightening feel it almost instantaneous. While the instructions suggest using it all over your face on top of foundation, for the best results and without smudging your foundation stick to using it on problem areas - unless you like the frozen-feel all over. Impressively and proving the sceptics wrong, your wrinkles will be dramatically reduced in appearance.

There is one downfall though, you need to rub in the formula straight away, otherwise it can leave a very slight snot-like stain on your face. Although with such incredible results and change from £20, making sure you work quickly is a small price to pay for a younger looking skin in less than 60 seconds.

While this product has plenty of independent statistics to back up the tag line ‘proven to lift and firm skin’, to fully understand Dr Nick Lowe’s The Secret is Out Lifting Super Serum, you have to understand the doctor himself.

With a strong philosophy of a simple, regular skincare regime will result in more youthful looking healthy skin, its no surprise all of the products contain super foods such as acai and goji berries and are packed full of vitamins and natural oils.

The Secret is Out Lifting Super Serum isn’t an overnight wonder balm and you don’t feel the tightening feeling that you get with other anti-wrinkle products. Instead, this product is more of a slow burner and does offer reasonable wrinkle prevention, but it will take perseverance.

The consistency is good, although the serum does take a while to dry and moisturising on top is essential. Ingredients such as super berries and a peptide complex, which helps increase and restore elasticity, leaves skin feeling nourished and recharged, however visible line reduction can take at least two weeks of daily use.

Together these ingredients make an unbeatable anti-wrinkle product. The serum itself is quite heavy, so it isn’t suitable for very young skin. However if you’re concerned about ageing and can afford the hefty price tag, it is definitely worth investing in.

Once massaged into skin, you can physically feel the product tightening skin and lines are visibly reduced, even deep ones around the mouth caused by smoking. After just one use skin feels hydrated and seriously nourished.

WEI Gingko Leaf Age-Repairing Face Treatment Review

Gingko leaf is a key ingredient in Chinese Traditional Medicine because of its age-repairing ability. Each pad is soaked in herbal concentrate and hyaluronic acid, so you do feel a slight tingling sensation while it's on. Although the pads are fiddly to put on, the eyes, nose and mouth cutouts mean you don't have to sit still for the whole ten minutes.

Unlike most treatments you don't wash this off once you've removed the pad. Simply massage the remaining treatment into skin with clean hands and follow with moisturiser and make-up.

Rating: 8/10 - While these pads are pricey, you will definitely get your moneys worth with the six pads. In just ten minutes skin feels instantly tighter (especially around your eyes and mouth) and brighter all over with red patches reduced.
