Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub Review

Together the thick consistency and coarse granules provide skin with a thorough exfoliation, even on tough dry patches. With nourishing ingredients like grape-seed oil and juniper oil, Caudalie’s Crushed Cabernet Body Scrub won’t strip your skin of its moisture as it takes away the dead skin.

The essential oils also give the body scrub a refreshing scent, making it feel like a luxury beauty product to use.

Caudalie’s body scrub is more than just an exfoliator though and it targets women concerned with dieting and cellulite with its ‘6 draining and cellulite fighting essential oils’, but does it work?

The thicker consistency encourages you to massage the product into your skin, which in turn will increase your circulation and reduce cellulite, making it an ideal body care product to compliment a detox or diet. On it's own though, it won't tackle cellulite or take inches from your thighs.

Overall this body scrub is high performing and definitely worth splashing out on if you’re looking for an exfoliator that feels like a seriously pampering product with the extra benefit of helping to reduce cellulite slightly.

Caudalie’s Crushed Cabernet Scrub is £21.50 and available from Caudalie.com.

Rating: 6/10 – A little goes a long way due to the coarse texture, so Caudalie's exfoliator will last and does leave skin feeling soft and smooth.

Aromatherapy Associates Rose Exfoliating Cleanser Review

In true Aromatherapy Associates style, the Rose Exfoliating Cleanser is packed full of essential oils which not only feed skin, but provide a relaxing, soothing fragrance.

Geranium is a key ingredient in this beauty product as it’s widely renowned for its healing properties and encourages the regeneration of skin cells. It also works in harmony with the second ingredient, jojoba beads, and soothes skin.

Aside from soothing, Jojoba beads are also one of the best, if not the best, natural exfoliators as they are rounded and smooth. With no sharp edges, jojoba beads offer a gentle exfoliation and won’t create micro-lacerations, which can damage skin and cause fine lines.

The cleanser itself has a creamy texture that feels instantly hydrating and doesn’t leave skin feeling tight or dry afterwards. Although the cleanser can be gentle enough to use everyday if you’re suffering for excess oil or concerned with uneven texture, those with sensitive or dry skin should only use it twice a week.

Aromatherapy Associates Rose Exfoliating Cleanser is £23.50 and is available from Aromatherapyassociates.com.

Rating: 8/10 – Keeps skin feeling soft and smooth without drying it out, although one a week a more abrasive exfoliator is still needed.

StriVectin Instant Retexturizing Scrub Review

StriVectin’s Instant Retexturizing Scrub feels like a rich, abrasive exfoliator as your massage it into your skin. However, while it removes dead skin quickly with little effort, skin doesn’t feel like it has been striped of all its moisture.

This is thanks to the inclusion of spherical jojoba beads. Softer on skin with no sharp edges, these beads cleanse skin without damaging it like some exfoliating grains.

The fresh minty scent of StriVectin’s face scrub makes it ideal for your morning beauty regime, although only use this scrub twice a week and make sure you have a rich moisturiser to use afterwards.

StriVectin’s Instant Retexturizing Scrub is £37 from SpaceNK.co.uk.

Rating: 8/10 – It’s expensive, but your skin feels so soft and smooth after just one use.

Origins Grapefruit Body Buffing Cleanser Review

Exfoliating throughout winter is just as essential as it is during the warmer months, but often gets overlooked.

The beauty of Origins Grapefruit Body Buffing Cleanser is that it’s gentle enough to use as a daily body wash. The buffing grains are much finer, so it’s not as abrasive as some exfoliators and won’t strip your skin completely.

Zesty grapefruit is the key ingredient, which not only gives this product its fresh scent, but also works as a natural exfoliator and helps to loosen dead skin cells.

While this cleanser won’t fix dry, cracked heels, it will help remove dead skin from knees, elbows and under your arms gently and is definitely worth its high price point.

Origins Grapefruit Body Buffing Cleanser is £18 from Origins.co.uk

Rating: 9/10 – At face value this is an expensive body wash, but it does double up as a cleanser and exfoliator for your body.
