Clarins 3 Dot Liner Review

Moving away from the standard felt tip or pencil liners, Clarins is transforming the way we use our eyeliner this season with its new and innovative design. Make way for the 3-Dot Liner. With three ink dispensers, the idea behind this new beauty product is that by pressing along the base of the your lashes you can achieve a straight and even line by simply joining up the dots.

The actual pads are soft on your eyelids and the formula dries quickly, so you don't need to worry about smudging. For those wanting to give lashes a thicker more volumised finish, this liner is the perfect companion for any mascara.

While it does take two applications to build up a rich jet black shade and strong line, once the formula has dried it doesn't budge or fade. So much so, you will need a very good eye make-up remover to take it off at night.

Clarins 3-Dot Liner, £20 and is available from Clarins.co.uk from September.

Rating: 10/10 - For those wanting a define their eyes with a classic liner look, this beauty product will put an end to your daily struggle of making both eyes look the same. Put simply, this eyeliner makes eye make-up hassle-free.

Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil Review

Clarins has relaunched its Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil with a new pipet style application lid, which makes it much easier to use. However, there have been absolutely no changes to formula. Why? Because the formula can’t be improved anymore seeing as it is already made using 100% natural ingredients.

Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil is one of three of Clarins rebalancing oils and targets tired, dehydrated skin. It’s easy to use, smells divine and genuinely does help to fix problematic, dry skin.

While rosewood extract provides a spicy floral scent and helps to rejuvenate tired skin, fragrance favourite, patchouli not only lends its scent, but also promotes the growth of new skill cells, which makes skin look and feel healthier. Blue Orchid is another key ingredient, which works together with these extracts to replenish skins moisture.
Hazelnut oil helps retain all this goodness to keep skin feeling nourished for longer, and I can testify that skin definitely does look much healthier. Although the instructions recommend using it as a night treatment, you can use it first thing in the morning if your skin is feeling particularly dehydrated.

Clarins face oil is perfect for calming down breakouts and gives skin a light glow and clear complexion.

Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil is £33 and available from Clarins.co.uk - You only need to use three or four drops a night, so you really do get value for your money.

Rating: 10/10 – Although I was reluctant and slightly nervous about using an oil at first, after a few days I saw the results and I’ve been using it religiously ever since.

Clarins Daily Energising Cleansing Gel Review

Clarins Daily Energiser range was introduced earlier this year as a skincare collection for young skin to encourage women to start a beauty regime early.
The Daily Energiser Cleansing Gel is the biggest triumph of the successful rang. With Saponaria extract, the gel formula foams up as soon as warm water hits your skin, removing dirt and toxins with the help of Moringa extract.
Use your fingers to massage the gel into your skin for a deep cleanse. Once rinsed with warm water skin feels fresher and cleaner, but not dry or stripped of natural oils.
Clarins cleanser is also perfumed with a delicious scent, which helps wake you up and refresh skin, making it perfect for first thing in the morning.
Clarins Daily Energiser Cleansing Gel is available from Johnlewis.com for £10.50
Rating: 9/10 – Great value for money and the smell is seriously refreshing.

Clarins Instant Liner Review

Anyone that appreciates black eyeliner will understand the on-going quest to find a jet black liner that not only lasts, but doesn't budge. And I think Clarins might have just created it with its Instant Liner.

Jet black, tick. Liquid, tick. Long lasting, tick. Smudge-proof, tick. The last point doesn't deserve the same amount of credit as the first three though as the liner is not actually waterproof.

However Clarins Instant Liner does stay in place and will take you from day to evening easily with no need to touch up. The jet black shade is impressive and the foam applicator brush is sturdy, so you can achieve a thin, sophisticated flick or a thick, kohl-like line.

Top tip - make sure you allow for drying time, otherwise the liquid liner will print onto your lid and smudge.

Clarins Instant Liner is £19.50 and available from Clarins.co.uk

Rating: 9/10 - if it was waterproof it would have easily scored a 10.
