Aveda Stress Fix Body Lotion Review

Feeling stressed? Aveda’s Stress-Fix Body Lotion might be just the thing to help you relax and unwind. Using eco-cert certified organic ingredients including organic aloe to soothe, organic sunflower oil to soften, and nourish and organic shea butter to moisturise, the body lotion is light in texture, easy to massage into skin and super conditioning.

Alongside the moisturising qualities, Aveda’s Stress-Fix Body Lotion also comes complete with a relaxing aroma and it will come as no surprise that organic lavender is a key ingredient in the scent.

The conditioning formula and soft, unwinding aroma work in perfect harmony and help you de-stress and relax – it’s the perfect product for after a long, hot soak in the bath.

Aveda’s Stress Fix Body Lotion is £27 and available from Aveda.co.uk.

Rating: 7/10 – The use of high quality organic ingredients is reflected in the price. Overall this body lotion is really lovely to use and soaks in quickly, leaving skin feel moisturised but not greasy.

Liz Earle Superskin Body Cream Review

When the cold weather kicks in we naturally reach for either a body oil or the richest body butter we can find to rehydrate skin quickly and effectively. Wouldn't it be nice to find a bodycare product that moisturises skin without the heavy, sticky consistency of a butter and without the greasy film left by some oils? Enter Liz Earle's Superskin Body Cream - a product that I defy anyone not to fall in love with.

In keeping with brand style, this body cream is packed full of natural ingredients with 25% of the formula being made up of plant oils alone to feed your skin. Starting with East African shea butter - a natural ingredient which nourishes while forming a barrier to help retain moisture and improve skin's elasticity - which together with rosehip, cranberry seed and borage flower oils gives skin a serious boost of moisture.

Avocado oil is another key ingredient that not only moisturises, but also contains a high amount of vitamin E to protect skin from the environment.

Liz Earle's Superskin body cream has an aromatic scent with floral notes courtesy of neroli essential oil, which has uplifting, restorative properties that compliment the chamomile essential oil that works to soothe and calm skin.

With more of a lotion-like consistency, this body cream is easy to massage into skin, but the real beauty of this product is its super moisturising formula that works in the same way you'd expect a body oil or body butter to.

The results are felt almost immediately as the formula is absorbed very quickly and leaves skin feeling incredibly soft and nourished. This is a great winter skin saver that you won't want to stop using when the weather warms up.

Liz Earle's Superskin Body Cream is available in two sizes and priced at £28.75/200ml and £12.50/50ml from Lizearle.com.

Rating: 10/10 - I completely love this bodycare product because it gives skin an instant moisture boost and leaves skin feeling cared for. Plus you can try the product out within investing too much money thanks to the travel size bottle.

REN Moroccan Rose Otto Body Cream Review

Moroccan Rose Otto is REN’s hero range consisting of a body oil, body cream, body wash, bath oil and body polish. The main ingredient, Moroccan Rose Otto is famed as being one of the most feminine scents around, so it’s no wonder it sells.

Naturally REN’s Moroccan Rose Otto body cream contains the signature ingredient, rose otto oil, which is a natural moisturiser and helps give dry skin a much needed boost of moisture. However, this not the only ingredient in the body cream offering nourishment, rosehip seed oil also helps to nourish and repair skin.

The cream itself is whiter than white in colour and has an incredibly luxurious texture. The pump makes it easy to apply, however you do need a fair amount of cream to cover your body, especially if your skin is dry.

Skin does feel softer and smoother and there is no greasy or oily film left once the product has soaked in.

Not forgetting the famous rose otto smell, which REN have balanced perfectly, so you enjoy the fragrance but at no point does it become overpowering.

REN’s Moroccan Rose Otto Body Cream is £26 and is available at Renskincare.com.

Rating: 6/10 – This body cream does leave skin feeling noticeably softer and moisturised, however I’m not sure the effects justify the hefty price tag.

Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Souffle Body Creme Review

The smell alone is enough to convert you into being the biggest fan of Laura Mercier's Almond Coconut Milk Souffle Body Creme. As soon as you unscrew the lid, a mix of almond, coconut and a hint of vanilla hits you.

The rich, heavy cream has a luxurious feel and gives skin a serious moisture boost. It's the perfect pampering product for your body. Packed full of vitamin A, C and E, the cream leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and conditioned.

Wrapped in a glass pot, this body cream would make an ideal gift too.

Laura Mercier's Almond Coconut Milk Souffle Body Creme is £43.50 and is available from SpaceNK.co.uk

Rating: 8/10 - it's expensive, but it won't let you down. The body cream lost a couple of points though as the scent can be a little overpowering if you use it all over.
