Olay Essentials Complete Care Day Lotion Review

Its light, moisturising and subtly scented, Olay’s new Essentials Complete Care Day Lotion is a great budget moisturiser. With an SPF30 it also offers higher sun protection than most of the premium beauty brands too.

The lotion soaks in quickly without leaving a sticky or greasy feeling behind and skin feels soft and moisturised throughout the day. Vitamin B3, B5 and E make sure skin gets the necessary nutrients and protection.

While you will need to use at least two pumps to cover your face and neck area fully, the lower price and overall quality make this a good value for money moisturiser.

Olay’s Essentials Complete Care Day Lotion is £10.29 available from Boots.com.

Rating: 10/10 – The perfect day cream for summer with the protection and price tag to keep your skin and purse happy.

Soap And Glory For Daily Youth Review

The catchy tag line and promise of giving skin a healthy glow with in seconds of applying it made me sceptical of Soap & Glory’s For Daily Youth 6-in-1 Superboost Moisture Lotion.

In keeping with the packaging the lotion has a hint of pink, but unlike Soap & Glory’s bodycare range, For Daily Youth lotion has a lighter smell, which reminds me of refresher sweets, in a good way. The consistency is looser and lighter than most moisturisers and blends into skin quickly without leaving a sticky residue.

With a mix of vitamin E & A as well as Soap & Glory’s highdration 365 complex, skin is given a full on moisture overhaul. This moisturiser is lightweight and doesn’t feel like it’s clogging up pores, making it perfect for every day use.

Surprisingly the lotion does actually give skin a subtle illumination and is great if you want a dewy finish, although you may need a little extra cosmetics help on that front.

Soap & Glory’s For Daily Youth 6-in-1 Superboost Moisture Lotion is £12 and available from Soapandglory.com.

Rating: 9/10 – You get a lot for your £12 with this product. Skin feels moisturised and looks healthy - it’s the perfect lotion to give your complexion a lift.

Philosophy Keep The Peace Moisturiser Review

Thick, creamy and ultra moisturising, Philosophy’s Keep the Peace cream does exactly what it says on the pot. Whether you have sensitive skin or just want to protect skin from the chilly weather, this moisturiser is exactly what you need.

With lavender oil to sooth and date seed oil to nourish, you’ll feel and see the benefits after just one use, especially if you suffer with red, blotchy skin.

The formula is fragrance-free and has a light, gel-like consistency that blends in quickly leaving skin feeling soft and smooth without any sticky or slimy residue. If your find the cream too heavy to wear every day, but feel your skin needs an added boost of moisture try using it as a night cream.

Philosophy’s Keep The Peace Moisturiser is £36 and is available from Johnlewis.com

Rating: 8/10 – the product does what it promises and is ideal for sensitive skin.
