Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner Review

There has been a lot of speculation as to what to expect from Aerin's, heiress to the giant Estee Lauder company, brand new collection which takes her name. Having revealed that the beauty line would be a collection of essentials from a foundation and lip conditioner with lipstick to a hand and body cream and a selection of brushes.

Drawing inspiration from her favourite things, Aerin's aim was to create a range of essential products that offer women effortless beauty. The Rose Lip Conditioner comes in a clean and chic tube, familiar but not too similar to the traditional Estee Lauder packaging, and has a strong rose scent.

The consistency is quite thick, but doesn't leave a sticky finish - it's more balm-like, which makes it feel instantly moisturising. Coming in 'nude', the lip conditioner gives lips a slight shimmer, but nothing too obvious.

As far the Rose Lip Conditioner goes, Aerin has succeeded in her aim to make effortless, but still luxurious essential beauty buys. However, the apple does fall too far from the tree and this collection will be an instant hit with loyal Estee Lauder fans, but most people might struggle to define the difference between Aerin and Estee Lauder.

Aerin's Rose Lip Conditioner launches in September from Esteelauder.co.uk.

Rating: 8.5/10 - It does everything required, but hopefully when they add to the range in seasons to come they will add a few tinted conditioners too.

Estee Lauder DayWear BB Crème Review

BB Creams are having their moment, although I suspect this one from Estee Lauder will stick around for a while yet. Having changed the original BB from Blemish Balm to Beauty Benefit, this particular BB Cream promises to protect skin while giving it an instant, even-toned, healthy look – no mean feat for a beauty product.

With a formula packed full of anti-oxidants like vitamin’s C and E, as well as the all-important SPF35, Estee Lauder has definitely ticked the box for protecting. However, what really makes this BB Cream stand out is the effect it has on your complexion. It illuminates skin and gives it a natural-looking shimmer.

Unlike some of the other BB Creams, this one has a light texture and is easy to apply. You only need a very small amount and you might need concealer to touch up blemishes still, but this could easily replace your foundation in the summer if you want lighter coverage.

If you have oily skin, this is a great beauty product. However, if you have dry to combination skin you will definitely need to apply a healthy amount of moisturiser underneath if you wearing this every day as the formula doesn’t give skin much hydration.

Estee Lauder’s DayWear BB Crème is £32 and available from Selfridges.com.

Rating: 7/10 – I don’t think BB Creams are for everyone, especially if you already wear tinted moisturiser, primer, foundation etc as it’s just another cream to apply. However, if you don’t tend to wear much this one from Estee Lauder is perfect for giving your complexion an instant boost.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Intense Kajal Eyeliner Review

While the eyeshadows might have taken centre stage with regards to Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Cyber Eyes collection, it is the eyeliners that are particularly impressive.

Pure Color Intense Kajal Eyeliners are made with 70% pure pigment, which provides a strong, rich line of colour. The creamy formula makes this eyeliner feel more like a gel liner and makes the product soft, smooth and easy to apply.

There’s nothing outlandish about the six shades, instead each one is wearable all eye colours and creates a gorgeous smoky effect. For best results apply the sharpened eyeliner to the base of your eyelashes and gently smudge up and across.

My favourite shade is definitely ‘Blackened Cocoa’ – the dark brown provides a nice change to heavy black kohl liner and creates a slightly more sophisticated finish.

Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Intense Kajal Eyeliners are £16 each and are available from Esteelauder.co.uk.

Rating: 8/10 – The intense colour and selection of shades are perfect for taking you from the day into the evening, however the slight smudging lets the beauty product down slightly.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Sensuous Rouge Lipstick Review

Nude lipsticks are a key component to the minimalist beauty trend this season.

Achieving the perfect nude lip is tricky though as if you go too pale you can end up looking ill. Enter Estee Lauder's Pure Color lipstick in 'Sensuous Nude'. It's slightly darker than your usual nude lipstick as it has more of a wet-look finish. The flecks of glitter add to this, while the creamy formula coats lips easily and leaves them feeling soft and smooth.

Estee Lauder's Pure Color Senuous Rouge Lipsticks are available online at Houseoffraser.co.uk for £20 each.

Rating: 9/10 - as nude lipsticks go this is one of the best around.
